Ms. Huston obtained a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Columbia University in 1999. Ms. Huston has enjoyed working in varied health care settings serving diverse patient populations. She has worked at Family Clinics in New York, Northern California and Seattle. She has provided maternity care and gynecological services at a Women’s Clinic and has served as a La Leche League Leader providing breastfeeding support. Most recently, she worked in the Emergency Department at Seattle Children’s Hospital and in Urgent Care.
Ms. Huston enjoys serving patients through the life span and thrives on caring for family units. She enjoys providing guidance and support to new parents. She is also committed to managing chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension and diabetes in a collaborative setting. She places a strong emphasis on patient education and in helping patients maximize lifestyle interventions for improved health and well being. As a child, Ms. Huston lived in Peru for 7 years and is fluent in Spanish. She is an avid runner and triathlete and is thrilled about having access to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail from her home in Carnation. She enjoys cooking, knitting, soap making and spending time in nature with her three girls.
